Coronavirus: NCDC records new 239 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Tuesday evening September 1, 2020, confirmed 239 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nigeria.

The new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the health agency’s official Twitter account.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 54,247, which includes 42,010 released cases and 1,023 deaths.

Below is the breakdown of the latest cases by state, with Plateau state recording the highest number of new confirmed cases, followed by Abuja, the federal capital territory.
