Kano State Governor and his aides observe social distancing while they congregate for Juma’at prayers

Governor Umar Ganduje and his colleagues have gathered this afternoon for the first Juma’at prayers since he lifted the ban on religious gatherings in the state.

Recall that three weeks ago, the federal government imposed a total foreclosure on the state as part of measures to stop the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Despite the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the state, Governor Ganduje announced earlier this week that the ban on religious gatherings in the state has been lifted. He also gave his approval to the residents to organize Eid prayers in the congregation and also advised everyone to adhere to the instructions of the NCDC.
