Coronavirus: Federal Government orders its’ workers to work from home

As the federal government steps up efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country, officials have been asked to work from home as a precaution against the virus.

  In a note published by the head of the department Folasade Yemi-Esan, all officials from level 1 to 12 were invited to work from home with effect from Tuesday March 24 until further notice.

  According to Yemi-Esan, the FG is concerned for the well-being and safety of all government officials, as it is for other Nigerians.

  The memo reads in part;

“All public servants are, therefore, strongly advised to follow the measures being put in place by government to curtail the spread of the pandemic.
“As a further step to check the spread of COVID-19, all non-essential public servants on grade level 12 and below are to work from home with effect from Tuesday 24th March, 2020 until further notice.”
