30-year-old Zimbabwe broadcaster Zororo Makamba dies from coronavirus

The Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care has confirmed the country’s first death from a coronavirus.

  Radio and television host Zororo Makamba, the son of a telecommunications magnate and politician, James Makamba was the second person to test positive for coronavirus in Zimbabwe.

  The country’s health ministry has confirmed that the 30-year-old boy died of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after being hospitalized this weekend.

  Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Minister Monica Mutsvangwa also confirmed his death in a statement saying:

  “I received the news of the death of Zororo Makamba with great shock, extreme sadness and a deep sense of shock. He is a victim of the global pandemic that is Covid-19 “

  “I extend my sincere condolences to the Makamba family and to the parents and friends of Zororo Makamba. We will only miss Zororo, ”she said.
